Transitioning

I first created this blog in conjuction with my YouTube Channel. I really enjoy writing and figured I'd create a blog where I can talk about my outfits and post still pictures of my outfits as well.  My life doesn't revolve around Fashion as many of the bloggers I enjoy reading and following.  Although dressing nice and looking cute, buying nice clothes and acessories is something I love, it's not something my world revolves around. I'm not obsessed with shoes, makeup, or clothes or dressing in the latest fashions.

My blog is going to transition into my story and the journey I am on. Outfits being one of them because it's something I enjoy doing, and sharing with other fellow plus sized ladies who have taken inspiration from me and have gained more self confidence through my ideas and tips. I noticed my videos on dating, and vlogging seem to get most attention just as much as my outfits do and therefore I will be writing about my dates, love life, and just about anything I feel like writing about.

For those interested, I will be blogging about Music, Life experiences, Family, Basketball (Go Lakers), and the obvious, Clothes! My blog will become the story of my life and I will try and keep it updated as much possible so I have a memoir to look back on and share with my kids if I ever have any in the future. Life is too short and sometimes it's gone before we know it. I want to leave something behind that is memorable and that my family can look back on and something my nieces and nephews can remember me by.

So...not that my blog has ever been officially focused on my outfits, but now it's official. This will be come the memoir to my life, and my journey starts today.

Fall Photography

I been feeling under the weather lately. Lots of things have been going through my mind and I dont know if its because my period is around the corner and I'm in the states of being an emotional wreck or if I'm just really stressed out. Either way, today I was browsing through Photobucket and I wanted to share some of the pictures that make me sigh, dream, and remind me why I love Fall so much :).

It's starting to feel like Fall

Today truly felt like the beginning of fall. I was so excited. Fall to me is such an amazing season. I love the fall because of the memories it brings. Fall to me is the season that has the most impact on my childhood memories. I remember walking to school each morning and feeling the breeze pick up my hair as a little girl. I must have been 7-10 years old. I never used to do anything with my hair. I'd literally shower, and comb it and that's it. I remember hating my hair growing up. The only memory about loving my hair comes with the fall. I'd love walking to school and feeling the wind gush through my hair. I'd love to feel the wind pick it up ever so softly and blow it in the wind. It feels like it was only yesterday. 

Feeling the wind blow through my hair brings back those lovely memories of when I was just a kid in school and life was easy. I don't have many child hood memories, I blocked out a lot of them because of so many things that happened to me as a kid growing up and the constant struggles I lived through.  Some of it is a blue, and some of it is like a dream I can't remember. Sometimes I can't tell what's actually happened and what is a dream. But once again, I love the wind. And with the fall comes the cool gentle breeze without the cold of the winter. 

Here is my outfit of the day, and a my photo-shoot in the vineyards. I went all out, and some of these pictures just really captured the essence of my love for the fall. I know that sounds weird but I just know what I know lol and it's something I feel inside. I hope you enjoy!

Full Figured Fashion Week - LA BayBay

Finally a fashion SHOW for us curvy girls! I have got to say I am going to do my very best to make it out to LA by the end of this month! I'm not shopping for ANYTHING all this month just to save enough ca-ching ching and get myself some tickets, a hotel room, and have enough for grubb and hit the clubs with my girls in LA if they're available Oh yeah!

So for those of you who are not aware, The Full FIgured Fashion week(end) is just that; a weekend full of fashion for the full figured, plus sized, voluptuous woman. LA is only hours away from where I live so I'd be crazy not to save enough and make it out there.

This is such a great and positive event for the plus size community. It's amazing and so exciting to see more and more designers and fashionably trendy clothes for the bigger woman today. No more moo moo's, baggy pants, sweats, or oversized t-shirts. This event is showcasing some of the hottest fashion trends for us curvy girls and I'd be crazy not to make it out there. I'd love to film, and record, take tons and tons of pictures to share with my Youtubers who watch my videos and also my readers who like to read my posts!

I have to see this event. Also, if you've read this far, Curves and Chaos is having a major giveaway! So if you're a curvy girl like me and would like to enter, I'd suggest you go and check them out :) And if you live in the LA area and are a bbw you'd be crazy to miss this event! Not only will you see tons of beautiful fashions for the curvy girl but I'm sure if you are looking for inspiration you will definitely find it there with a building full of big beautiful women!

I'm sure any plus sized girl with some body image issues, self esteem issues, or even a little trouble with stepping out of the comfort zone of t's and ill loose fitting clothes will definitely gain some confidence and even have a new approach to life and how they see themselves and their bodies. You will learn to love your bodies if you see more and more women do so as well. We're not alone ladies, and a show like this is a must see. It's a movement! I want to be a part of, do you?

Outfits of the Week

Happy Friday!

TGIF! I have had such a busy and crazy week. Juggling between work and school, I feel I sound like a broken record. I'm constantly complaining about how busy I am. I have  never been this busy. Last semester I had 3 classes and worked too, but this fall semester I totally forgot to take into consideration Harvest season.

Harvest season is the busiest time of year for any winery. It's when we harvest grapes, crush them, and process the juice into wine.  I have so much data entry it's ridiculous. Sometimes my whole day is consumed by data entry.

 

Other day's I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I'm setting up tastings for VIP visitors, I'm picking up lunches out of town, and I'm setting up picnic areas at the private park we have towards the back of the vinyards. I dont mind busy days because they make days go by that much faster, but now with the Fall semester in session, I didn't take into mind just how busy I normally get at work. I'm guessing next Fall semester I'm only going to take 2 classes and during the Spring I can do my regular 3 or 4 classes because work is not so hectic and I go back to working 4 day's a week which leaves me with 3 day weekends hence giving me more time for study, homework, and even some me time. 

Right now my day's go by so fast, my weekends feel like a blur. I feel I wake up Saturday morning and next thing I know I'm back to work on Monday. I feel I get no rest and I never have time for myself! Im managing though, it will all be worth it in the end!

Anyway, enough abot all the stress in my life, now let's get to the fun part. I'm going to add some pictures of some of the outfits I wore this week and last Friday. I wasn't able to do videos for each outfit but did manage to get a few. For now, I'll leave you with these pictures and stay tuned for some of the outfits in a video as well :)

I'm wearing a lot of earthy and neutral tones. This is the day I went to the Jazz Festival with my good friend Mazo. I'll have to do a separate post just for that day so I can share with you all some Do's and Don'ts we came across. The day was full of LOL's and fun! So stay tuned for that post.

I really wanted you guys to see my boots! lol So I'm being all acrobatic in the restroom! lol

 This picture looks funny, It's not my favorite but it's the only full body pic I have for this outfit!

You can't really see the boots because of the lighting. I had my co-worker take it for me and she just wanted to get it over with I was like "gee, thanks" lol. Anyway, it will do for now. I'll probably wear this outfit again soon.  This picture was taken in the downstairs area of our winery. The lighting is perfect, but I didn't want to ask my co-worker for too much so I figured where she took the picture was fine, now had I taken the picture myself, I woulda been working that damn hallway lol :) Okay...Moving on...

And finally Today's Friday, September 24th, 2010 OOTD is...

I'll post it later cuz I'm gonna start doing some data entry and quite frankly I havn't even taken a picture yet lol :) Maybe I'll do an OOTD on my lunch break or a makeup tutorial cuz I didn't even do that this morning. Today's outfit is very casual though, once I get a picture I'll insert it here. I'll just show you guys my shoes though, and nope, No heels or flats todays...well Flats yes...but I'm wearing my favorite "tennis" shoes :) I need a new pair cuz these are becoming rinky dinky lol

Okay, So I ended up going to the restroom and taking a quick picture! I look scary lol it was too early anyway...Here's what I'm wearing today. I'll do the makeup and OOTD video this afternoon when I get home since It's Friday, and I ain't got Sh*t to do =) lol Well actually, I  have lots of ish to do, like homework and study for my exam on Monday! lol Hope everyone is enjoying their day :)

I love my Puma's! Puma is my favorite sneaker brand. I know these are all beat up but I love them so much I can't get rid of them quite yet!! I need a new pair bad! =)
