Day 5: A Place You've Been To

So I have been to a few places within the country and one of them was Vegas. Unfortuntely it wasn't as fun as I had expected. We went to Vegas 2 years ago to celebrate the birth of 2009. My ex boyfriend and I went for New Years and it sucked!! He had this long ass face the whole night and it was just the way to enter the new year. Maybe that's why we didn't bring in 2010 together lol. Anyway, Vegas was defintely fun and despite him having his long ass face the whole time I still managed to enjoy myself.  This was the 2nd time I visited Vegas. I know the third time I make it out there will be unforgettable and I will defintely make up for the first two times.

I decided I wanted to incorporate a few new things into my YouTube Channel and music is one of them.  Music revolves around me and is a part of my life everywhere I go. I listen to music on the way home where its my local radio station or my favorite CD of all time (Los Enanitos Verdes: La Historia). I get to work and I'll play Yahoo Music or I'll plus in my Zune Player. If I'm away from my desk I'll have Pandora playing on my iPhone.  Point is music is a part of my life.

Unlike most, I do not have a music preference. I love all music. EVERYTHING. Yes. Even Country! I love me some Taylor Swift. I love me a little bit of everythign and if I havn't heard it, I'll give it a listen. Sometimes I warm up to music that I dont like at first and then I find myself unable to stop playing it.

I have Shazam Red on my iPhone. It's a music app that tags songs you may  not recognize or not know the name of if you find yourself saying "OMG! I love that song! What's it called!?" I know that  happens to me a little too often and since I've bought this app, it's been a life saver. I also use it to tag songs I adore so I can buy later, and figured I'd use it to talk about my favorite jams of the week.

Day 4: Bad Habits Anyone...

So...as you can already see...it's 10:50pm and I better get this over with now before I actually kick the habit in and not do it, and that bad habit is procrastinating. Oh yes. I am the worst procrastinator ever!! I mean it's bad. I swear I can't kick the habit. Maybe its because I"m so lazy, IDK what it is!! I end up paying late fee's left and right because I say "right now" and like my mother always said growing up "es un orita que nunca llega" which translates to "it's a right now that never arrives". Seriously, my habit is bad and just about everything! It's bad. I need to kick the bad habit!! I am truly suffering the consequences today.

For example, I said "I'll pump gas right now" as in when I get home. Well did I do that? No. And what happened? I needed to go to comcast to fix some account issues and my ass literally got stranded right before the exit! lol Luckily I had enough speed in the car to pull in and actually park the car lol.

What else? Well I finally after saying "tomorrow" for 2 months put in my new invisalign tray! My teeth are hurting soooo bad. I literally teared up when I put the tray in because of how tight they were. I swear I do not want to take out the try for fear of how painful my teeth are going to feel in the morning. If that means I have to leave the tray on for the rest of the week and go without eating then I guess I'm gonna do that because it's seriously hurts!! I took 5 ibuprofen at work today just to numb the pain! Right now I couldn't take anything cuz I don't know where any pain killers are with the move and all.

So yes, a bad habit of mine is procrastinating. Now my laptop is on 5% battery life and I been procrastinating for the past 25% battery life that I'm gonna get my charger but have I done it? Nope. I'm just gonna shut down now and go to bed :)

At least I managed to post this up on time :)

Day 3: A Picture Of Me & Friends

This picture was taken exactly one year ago. October 10th, 2009.  It was the first time after a few years that ALL of us got together in one night. And this isn't even everyone lol. This is only who managed to get in the picture at this one time. I love the fact that they caught us off gaurd and just captured a moment! (cuz you know nowadays all pictures are just posed). This picture is priceless! I love Liz's expression! She was so drunk, you'll always find her at her happiest when she's drunk lol.

I guess animal prints were hot this night! lol No one got together and said "let's wear animal print" but when we all got there almost everyone had some sort of animal print on! lol.

Karen on the left is Liz's roomate. She's a cool girl, but very very quiet and timid, although she ain't so timid at all! But you know what they say "Las mas calladitas son las mas cabronas" which translates to...the quiet ones are the baddest bitches of them all lol and you can interpret "bad" at your own discretion lol

Alejandra aka Ale or Morena is the sweetest girl on earth! She has a heart of gold and will never hold a grudge against you no matter how bad you treat her or hurt her. She's an angel and Liz and I are the demons that corrupted her! lmao Girl knows how to enjoy life, she is hilarious!! Always making faces and being herself, cuz when you hang with us, you can be just that. Yourself.

Liz aka Chubby, ya'll know this bitch already! lol. She's my sidekick, my mini me, the annoying ass gum stuck on the bottom of your shoe! She's been MIA lately, but I still got love for the hoe.

Gloria is the newest addtion to the "fatass crew" lmao (I just made that up right now lol) she's my temporary co-worker and she can be very close minded at times so I'm trying to show her how to ease up a little and just enjoy life :). You could say she had one of the best night's of her life the night we took this picture lol.

Rommy my comadre! I've known her since I was 16. Well, I've known all these girls since I was 16, with the exception of Gloria. I met her when I was 20. Anyway, Rommy is one bad ass bitch! We've been partying it up since we were 16 and the girl knows how to PARTY! But now she's more settled down cuz the bitch went and got preggo twice! lol to which I baptized her mini me! I swear it looks like she shitted that kid cuz he looks just like her, acts just like her, and everything about his lil ass is like her! lol with the exception of a stick between his legs lol. You guys will meet her one day.

And that is a picture of me and some friends! These are the closest of my friends and decided to share them with you because we are all planning another get together soon so you might see them in the future :) Thought I'd intorduce them now so you can get  a feel for their personalities.

Day 2: The Meaning Behind the Blog Name

THICKNGORGEOUZ

Last year in July I created an account on an online chat site and I was thinking of a good name that could describe me in "one" word.  I've always been a curvy girl, always been on the plus side and although I consider myself a fatty, most of my friends always said I wasn't fat I was just "thick". Since I didn't want to give the wrong impression or even try to hide the fact that I was a bigger girl I knew I wanted to incorporate the word thick into my username and that's when I decided to add "and gorgeous" to the name. 

Through out my life I have received wonderful compliments on my physical appearance. I have been told I am beautiful and pretty. I decided I didn't want to use either of those because it didn't sound right. "thicknpretty or thicknbeautiful or beautifulnthick" just didn't have that a ring to it. I decided Gorgeouz would be the perfect word as it clearly described both pretty, and beautiful and just something that is appealing!  It sounded perfect!

I started making videos in May of 2010 on Youtube and decided to keep using my chatsite username "ThicknGorgeouz" and it has forever stuck. It's official, I'm thick n gorgeouz and I cater to all thick n gorgeouz ladies. That is the meaning behind my name, blog name, YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter.

Not only is it a name, but it truly defines who I am. I am a thick girl and I am gorgeouz. Being gorgeous doesn't necessarily refer to looks. If I didn't have looks, I'd still be a gorgeous girl because I have a what I consider to be a gorgeous personality and believe all women or men should find that inner beauty because the outside washes away and slowly disintegrates with time. It's all about your inner beauty and how you carry yourself and how good you look always. That doesn't mean you have to be dolled up either! Gorgeous to me and you may be different than him or her. Everyone's perception of what gorgeous is can and will always differ from person to person but the only person who you need to remind of how gorgeous she is, is yourself when you look in the mirror every day! It's easy, just repeat after me "Hey there Gorgeouz" :) I'm sure you will smile back at yourself and realize just how right you are and just how gorgeous you are smiling.

And that is the meaning behind my name.
