Overseas Haul

I've been browsing Yours Clothing for quite some time now and I finally decided to make a purchase after reading a lot of positive reviews on their site.  Their sizing is different from the US so I was glad I knew what my measurements were before placing my order. I didn't want to order too much for that same reason so I only ordered two items.  I was online at Torrid going through their clerance sale and I was about to make a purchase when I decided to browse for other stuff online.  I now feel kind of guilty because I could have purchased five or six items from Torrid for the price I paid for the two from Yours.  Either way, I felt I needed to get it over with and place an order just so I know for myself how they work.

Within about a minute of placing my order online, I get a call from Chase Fraud Prevention services. They wanted to verify I had placed an order from overseas. I thought that was pretty awesome!

Anyway...I hope this whole purchase was worth it! Depending on how my experience goes will determine if I"ll buy from Yours again since shipping is what bumped up my total cost.

Here are the two items I purchased...I really really hope they fit because I can't wait to rock these two items!

Small Ross Haul

I spent the weekend at my brothers house in LA and while there my brother decided he wanted to go to Ross and do a little shopping.  Since I didn't want to stay home alone I decided to tag along. How convenient huh? lol.

One of my resolutions for the year is to shop less. I'm tyring to make use of what I have in my closet and I ask myself twince before purchasing any items. I'm trying mostly to stray away from buying so much clothes. However,  the hardest thing I find myself saying no to are shoes! I couldn't resist when I came across some Fergie heels for only $13.00! Anyway, here are the few things I picked up at Ross.

I bought this journal to do some scrap-booking and writing. Since writing is another to-do on my resolutions for the year, I bought a new journal that I plan on carrying with me at all times to write about anything that comes to mind and even use for scrap-booking with clippings from magazines, newspapers, or pictures even.  The goal is to fill the book before the end of the year!

The journal is very heavy duty and feels really soft to the touch. I also liked the pink and black stitching and lettering and the gold on the pages. The only thing I would have preferred was if it was college ruled as opposed to wide ruled but you can't go wrong for only six bucks.

I ran out of my regular shampoo (Suave Professionals) and wanted to try something new since I've been using the same stuff for quite some time now and figured I can also do a review afterwards. Since I have curly hair, I decided to try Curly Sexy Hair by Sexy Hair Products. I purchased the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner at Ross for 1/2 the price I'd normally pay at salon prices. Each bottle cost me $9.99 for 33 fl. oz. This should last a while.

I found this light weight sweater cardigan sweater dress. I'll probably wear this alone with some leggings or shorts underneath during the spring/summer.

I finally got my hands on this baby! I found this coat at my local Ross not too long ago and unfortunately for me at the time they didn't carry my size.  I blogged about it  and said I'd get my hands on it eventually and when I saw it I couldn't resist! I think I dropped 3 other items just to take this one home! I'm glad I found it.

And finally, those Fergie heels I mentioned earlier. I now have some hot purple shoes to dress up my Laker Jersey with!

They almost  appear to have a fuchsia tone to it, but it's my camera that alters the color. They're purple with a hint of pink I suppose. Either way, I love em and think they're hot and I can't wait to wear them! I have so many shoes now its ridiculous but like they say, we can never have too many shoes! I do however, have a few shoes I will be getting rid of. I owe my FB friends and subscribers an overdue sale of items in my closet! Stay tuned!

I'll close it here because tomorrow is my first day back to work after an awesome 2 weeks off work and I'll be starting work at 6am! I already know I will not want to wake up and must make a habit of sleeping earlier and prepping outfits and lunch the night before! Hope everyone has an amazing week!

Ross Haul

Last week I went to Ross and picked up a few items. I was mostly looking for Xmas presents for the family, but who shops for xmas gifts and doesn't pick anything for themselves?

I got this lovely top by Kenneth Cole for 12.99. The material is very light weight and sheer. Perfect for the office, and easy to dress up or down. I can easily wear this in the summer despite the slouchy turtle neck because it's so sheer.
Kenneth Cole New York Top Original Price $69.00
I couldn't help but pick up a few more scarfs specially after noticing the mark downs and deals I was getting. The nude pink and black Viscose scarf is very soft and will definitely keep me warm. Picked it up for 9.99. I also picked up a nude beige Polyester Scarf which marked down to 6.99 so I couldn't pass it up.
The beige scarf is very light weight and sheer. Can be used to dress up a casual outfit. I liked the beading on the bottom, the light bounces off these beads and give it a more glamourous look.
Jones New York Polyester Scarf Original Price $38.00
Viscose Scarf Original Price $20
And with the winter now in session, I had to pick up a few more hats to keep warm.  I found a Grey wool hat from the Jessica Simpson collection for $5.99 and Gold Sequined hat for $6.99.
Left: Jessica Simpson Hat Original Price $19.99 Right: Capelli New York Hat Original Price:$18.00
And finally, I picked up this lovely handbag for $34.99. I'm not a handbag collector and rarely buy expensive handbags but decided to treat myself before the year ended. I liked the ruffling on this handbag and the fact that it's so big inside and I can use it with just about any outfit.

Big Buddha Marie Black Ruffled Satchel Handbag Original Price: $89.00

And that makes up my last haul of the year. I haven't made any resolutions for 2011, but I know I would like to haul less, that's for sure!

New York & Co. Haul

While at the mall, I noticed New York & Co. was having a store wide 50% off sale. I checked out their accessories and fell in love with these watches. Each watch was about 20 bucks and with the 50% off sale I couldn't help but pick up a few.

The first one that caught my attention was this bracelet watch with all the chains and links and the face perfectly centered. I've seen many bracelet watches before and normally I see the watch dangling from the bracelet like a charm. This one was different and I liked that nothing was dangling off my wrist. I got this baby for $9.97.

Original Price: 19.95

I picked up this gunmetal watch too. This is a very trendy watch that will stand out easily. I love how the light glistens and bounces off all these watches. Purchased this for 11.47
Original Price 22.95
Picked up this crystal studded watch for $9.97
Original Price: 19.95

This gold watch is one of my favorites. I fell in love with the elegance it presents with it's simplicity. Got it for $12.47
Original Price: $24.95

Goodwill Finds

As you may know I am a big bargain shopper. I try and find deals left and right and get more bang for my buck. Thrift shops like Goodwill and consingment shops are not to be left behind or ignored. Here are a few finds I found a while back and wanted to share. A lot of vintage items and for super cheap. I really enjoy shopping at thrifts because of all the ideas I gather in my mind, the alterations that can be done and the outfits than can be put together.

Bought these amazing gold toned shades. Yes, they're a little beat up and have minor scratches here and there, but who doesn't scratch their glasses anyway. They look a lot more expensive than they are and adds a lot of glam to any outfit. These are some of my favorite shades and they're hot!

Found these wonderful vintage earrings. Most are clip ons and the rest are regular pin earrings. I like to sanitize my earrings before wearing them just to be on the safe side considering they were amongst a bunch of other earrings and with anything used, it's always best to wash/sanitize before using it yourself.

I bought these shoes for five dollars. The shoes are BRAND SPANKING NEW. Never been used, the bottom soles have absolutely no scratches and no signs of use.  They're very vintage and high class or sophisticated looking lol. I found some earrings to match so I'm defintely looking forward to putting an old vintage glam outfit together and make use of these shoes and earrings.
